The Tatsujin Dojo serves to protect, preserve, and pass on traditional Japanese warrior arts. We teach the martial arts that were originally used by the world-famous Samurai and Ninja of ancient Japan. Known for their technical prowess and success in numerous aspects of warfare, the Samurai and Ninja are both revered as some of the best warriors in military history.
At Tatsujin Dojo we teach two martial arts lineages.
1. Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu (a.k.a Ninjutsu):
Bujinkan is a martial art comprised of 9 ancient Japanese warrior lineages; 6 of samurai descent and 3 of ninja descent.
2. Renshinkan Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu:
Daito Ryu is a Japanese Samurai unarmed fighting art that dates back 1200 years. It stems from the famous Takeda Samurai family.
Andrew Dendariarena has studied martial arts for 33 years. He is currently ranked as a 15th Degree black belt and Daishihan in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, the highest attainable rank in the art.
In Renshinkan Daito Ryu, Andrew currently holds the rank of 8th Degree Black Belt, Hanshi, and is the highest-ranking member in the United States. Andrew was also awarded the title of Kancho Dairi (Acting director) and is the only person in the world to hold this title.
